Come without an appointment
For the year 2023, the calendar is established with a first collection at Artix, on Monday February 6; in Mourenx it will be March 3rd. An important point concerning the organization of collections was mentioned by the president. “Since the Covid episode, a platform (https/my-rdv-dondesang.efs.sante.fr) has been set up for donors to make an appointment for the collection day of their choice. It’s true that this system facilitates the organization for the doctors, but we have noticed that the number of donors has greatly decreased, going from around a hundred, sometimes more, to around sixty”, underlined Germain Labataille. He wants to send a message to all donors: “You can also come and donate your blood even if you haven’t made an appointment. There are always free slots and we have never turned anyone away. At a time when we are sorely lacking in blood and when the ESF launches calls regularly, this information must be disseminated,” he concluded, applauded by the assembly.
