The 49-year-old suspect of the shooting in Zwijndrecht is officially suspected of murder and attempted murder, the police announced on Tuesday in the television program Discovery Requested. The police are offering a reward of 30,000 euros for information leading to the still fugitive Minh Nghia Vuong.
Nghia Vuong is suspected of shooting a 66-year-old woman at a shopping center in Zwijndrecht on Saturday. Her 38-year-old daughter – Nghia Vuong’s ex-partner – was seriously injured. She is still in a critical condition in the hospital.
The suspect has been missing ever since. The police have already found the suspected getaway cars of Nghia Vuong, who is also called ‘Lucky’.
“It is very important that he is found as soon as possible,” the police said on Tuesday. The golden tip that leads to the arrest of Nghia Vuong is rewarded with an amount of 30,000 euros.
The police suspect that he is reaching out to people in his network, “to provide things like shelter, food and means to stay out of sight of the police”.
The suspect is internationally recognized. The police ask people not to approach Nghia Vuong himself, because he is a firearms threat, but to call 112.
