Prince Albert II will donate blood to save lives

An unprecedented blood collection operation is planned at the Prince’s Palace this Wednesday, January 25.

The staff of the Palace, the Carabinieri and the Sovereign himself will donate their blood tomorrow, Wednesday January 25, during an unprecedented operation organized in partnership with the CHPG Transfusion Center from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The location was not chosen at random… Indeed, hosting this collection within the Prince’s Palace aims in particular to raise public awareness of blood donation. “which is a simple, generous and responsible act of solidarity”can we read in an official press release from the Palace.

As a reminder, to facilitate blood donation, the CHPG set up last summer the “bloodmobile”, a small pink car that you have surely already come across in the Principality. Deployed by the CHPG, this vehicle picks up employees directly from their place of work to bring them to the Blood Transfusion Center in order to make a blood donation.
