NEW YORK — A 15-year-old boy was allegedly strangled to death in the Bronx, authorities said Tuesday, and they are now questioning the teen’s stepfather in the case.
New York City Police officers found the boy, whom they identified as Corde Scott, unconscious when they responded to an emergency call the previous afternoon, around 4:20 p.m. Monday, at a Doris Street apartment in Westchester Square.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.
Subsequent investigations indicated that Scott had sustained trauma to the neck area. Investigators say he was strangled. The medical examiner’s office will perform an autopsy to confirm how he died.
Scott’s 28-year-old stepfather is being questioned in the case, authorities said.
