A unique new product has gone on sale at idealista. It’s about the Saint Andrew’s chapel in the small village of it costs from the municipality of Ames, very close to Santiago de Compostela, in the province of A Coruña, and where masses were celebrated until before the pandemic. With a 200 m2 plot and barely 70 m2 built, it is offered for only 70,000 euros, although it needs extensive reform to be able to use it as a home.
This former stone-walled chapel surrounded by trees sits on private property and is now trying to find a new owner. The small temple has a small altar with a carving of Saint Andrew and parish seats for about 30 attendees.
Rarely are these changes of use of an ecclesiastical property into a home seen. The most famous and recent has been that of the 16th century church abandoned and practically in ruins that has been completely rehabilitated in a spectacular mansion in Vizcaya. In October 2020 it went on the market for 1.6 million euros.
