In Moscow, from January 21 to 22, the First Channel Figure Skating Cup was held. Two teams competed with each other: “Red Machine” with captain Zagitova and “They Won’t Catch Us” under the leadership of Valieva. The main results of the tournament – in the material “RBC Sport”

The Red Machine team, captained by the 2018 Olympic champion Alina Zagitova, won the Channel One Cup in figure skating, which was held in Moscow at the CSKA Arena.
The “Red Machine” was ahead of the “They Won’t Catch Us” team led by the 16-year-old 2022 Olympic champion Kamila Valieva.

According to the results of the competition in two programs among couples, men and women, Zagitova’s wards scored 2344.24 points, the team “They won’t catch up with us” – 2275.47 points. Zagitova’s team received 11 million rubles for the victory, Valieva’s team received 9 million rubles.
The Channel One Cup is being held for the third time, in 2021 the tournament was held in Moscow, and in 2022 in Saransk. Both previous tournaments were won by the Red Machine team, captained by Zagitova. Previously, she was opposed by the Vremya First team, captained by 2018 Olympic silver medalist Evgenia Medvedeva.
The composition of “They won’t catch up with us” included Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Sofya Muravyova, Anastasia Zinina, Sofya Samodelkina, Evgeny Semenenko, Dmitry Aliev, Andrey Mozalev, Makar Ignatov, as well as the couples of Alexander Boikov – Dmitry Kozlovsky and Yasmina Kadyrova – Valery Kolesov.
Pair competition
Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov
After the short program in pairs, Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov (Team Zagitova; 86.09) became the first. Alexandra Boikova and Dmitry Kozlovsky (Valiyeva’s team; 81.72) are second, and Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov are third (Zagitova’s team; 79.98).
In the pairs competition in the free program, Boikova and Kozlovsky (150.68) became the first, Tarasova and Morozov (149.62) took the second place, Mishina and Gallyamov (148.28) took the third place.
Men
Dmitry Aliyev
In the men’s singles tournament, after the short program, Andrey Mozalev from Valieva’s team became the leader (104.36). The second result was shown by Gleb Lutfullin (Zagitova’s team; 94.06), the third – Makar Ignatov (Valiyeva’s team; 91.05).
Dmitry Aliev (Valiyeva’s team; 185.47 points) became the best among men in the free program, Pyotr Gumennik (Zagitova’s team; 182.38 points) became the second, Mozalev closed the top three (177.78).
Girls
Sofia Akatieva
According to the results of the women’s short program, Sofya Muravyova (Valiyeva’s team) became the first, she scored 85.54 points. The second place was taken by Adelia Petrosyan (Team Zagitova; 83.80), the third was Sofia Akatieva (Team Zagitova; 74.37).
Akatieva (177.23) won the women’s free program, Muravyova (160.23) was the second, Petrosyan was the third (156.42).
Trusova’s intervention

During the women’s free program, the silver medalist of the 2022 Olympics Alexandra Trusova announced in her telegram channel that she would hold an autograph session from 19:30 Moscow time. Some fans left their seats, wanting to get the athlete’s autograph.
Trusova does not take part in the First Channel Cup. The eight best single skaters compete in the competition according to the results of the Russian Championship, from which Trusova withdrew due to an injury.
At the end of December, the telegram channel Mash informedthat Trusova’s father demanded that Channel One remove Olympic champion Alexei Yagudin and honored coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova from commenting on speeches and all events involving her daughter. According to Mash, the channel’s management refused to agree to these conditions, after which the Channel One logo disappeared from the figure skater’s Olympics.
Traumatic fall

Figure skater Anastasia Zinina was injured in the short program. The athlete fell while performing a triple lutz. She was unable to get up without assistance. A medical team ran onto the ice and helped Zinina leave the arena.
At the First Channel Cup, Zinina played for the “They Won’t Catch Us” team, captained by Kamila Valieva.
Later, the skater said on Instagram (owned by Meta Platforms, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow recognized the company as extremist and banned its activities) that she had avoided a fracture in the fall.
Zinina is 15 years old, she has won prizes at the stages of the Junior Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk and Linz in 2021.
