Emirates News Agency – Japanese stocks continue to rise for the third consecutive session

TOKYO, January 24 / WAM / Japanese stock indices rose at the end of today’s trading, to continue the rise for the third consecutive session, achieving its highest level in 5 weeks.
The Nikkei index on the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 1.46 percent, equivalent to 393.15 points, to close at 27,299.19 points.
The broader Topix index rose by 1.42%, equivalent to 27.54 points, to close at 1972.92 points.
