In Boulogne, the hospital staff are exhausted, and they have come to tell the management loud and clear.
On Friday, the Duchenne hospital center organized its vows ceremony. A ceremony marked by an action by the CGT, on strike since the beginning of the month against working conditions in the hospital. About fifty strikers were present in front of the establishment. They arrested the mayor of Boulogne, Frédéric Cuvillier, also chairman of the hospital’s supervisory board.
The demonstrators were then invited inside, and asked to be able to speak to denounce the lack of staff in the various departments of the hospital.
According to Laure Decroo, CGT union representative at Boulogne hospital, there are not enough caregivers to properly care for patients.
Frédéric Cuvillier took the time to listen to the protesters and acknowledged the difficult working conditions at the hospital. But he recalled that the lack of staff in hospitals was a national problem, the responsibility of the State.
