Lo Sings Sting in Cultuurdome; a tasteful tribute

Heiloo – On Saturday, January 28, the Theater Tour Lo Sings Sting will be a tasteful tribute at a high musical level. In order to improve the view in the Culture Dome, a campaign was launched in October to purchase mobile, mobile and collapsible grandstands. The concert ‘Lo Sings Sting’ is a benefit concert to realize this.

Sting’s more than forty-year musical career includes seventeen Grammy Awards, more than one hundred million records sold and several monumental world hits, such as Roxanne, Message in a Bottle, Englishman in New York and Fields of Gold. The musical theater show ‘Things about Sting’ is formed around lead singer and saxophonist Lo van Gorp, one of the very best Dutch session musicians. After very successfully bringing the repertoire of Steely Dan to the theaters, Lo van Gorp and his ten-strong band The Royal Dutch Scam bring the repertoire of Sting and The Police.

The songs are played with a lot of respect, although they are often given their own twist. You hear a nice combination of the quirky punk / reggae / rock songs of The Police and the impressive atmospheric songs of Sting. The band members are the crème de la crème of the Dutch musician scene. You may recognize them from the collaboration with the Metropole Orkest, Marco Borsato, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Michiel Borstlap, Alain Clark, Frank Boeijen, Ilse DeLange, Gino Vannelli and many others. Go back in time and enjoy this musical evening on Saturday 28 January at 8.15 pm. Buy tickets at 25 euros via www.cultuurdomeheiloo.nl or at the door. (Photo: Nienke de Jong)
