The news came that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will hang up his boots in the summer and then take on an ambassadorial position at AC Milan.
Currently, the 41-year-old striker is still recovering from knee surgery. Not yet known when Ibrahimovic can act again.
At first it was predicted that Ibrahimovic would be able to play in early 2023. But there were rumors that his recovery process was going beyond predictions and Milan didn’t want to rush into forcing him to play immediately.
As rumored Gazzetta dello Sportparticipation Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the first leg against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League in February next is in doubt.
It is stated further, Ibrahimovic is more realistic to play in the second leg in March. Even then, with the predicted playing minutes not long and perhaps he will be expected more as a ‘supersub’.
That ‘supersub’ status, which he also assumed at the end of last season, is also believed to continue to stick with Zlatan Ibrahimovic until the summer — when he can finally play.
Upon arrival in the summer, as reported Always Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will retire from the world of football. AC Milan is currently projecting him to occupy the position of ambassador at the club.
