Two servicemen who served in what is considered an elite unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) defected to Russia on Sunday. This was reported to TASS today, January 22, in the power structures of the region.
“Two Ukrainian servicemen today went over to our side in the Zaporozhye direction. These soldiers are from an elite unit, they have already begun to share important information with our side,” — said the source of the agency.
Formerly chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov said that at least several dozen servicemen from the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had defected to the Russian side in the Zaporozhye direction since mid-December, when the number of such cases increased sharply. According to him, the facts of transition in this direction have become a regular occurrence.
