Goldband singer about sniffing coke on stage: ‘I shouldn’t have done it’ | Music

Goldband singer Milo Driessen regrets snorting cocaine on stage. Bee 3FM the artist called the incident “not smart”.

On Friday, a fuss arose on social media when a video circulated showing Driessen using drugs in front of his fans. “I can be very clear about it: I should not have done it. I did it,” the singer said on Saturday evening at 3FM.

“People are allowed to have their opinion about it. I can promise that I will never do it on stage again.” Driessen added that he realizes that he has an exemplary function. “For example, we just took a picture with young children. I don’t have to introduce them to that. So I do regret that.”

Goldband won the Popprijs on Saturday, one of the most prestigious music awards. According to the jury report, the band from The Hague had the greatest impact on Dutch pop music in the past year “as the soundtrack of the post-corona era, with performances full of bang, following its own artistic vision and success among a broad group of listeners”.
