Small farms caught fire in Ørland in Trøndelag

The police in Trøndelag state that the buildings are completely engulfed in flames. To Adresseavisen says the police’s task leader, Anders Karlsaune, that there may be a risk of explosion at the site.

During the extinguishing work, the fire service was informed that they were supposed to be gas cylinders in an outbuilding on the small farm

At around 8.40, operations manager Lars Berget states that most of the buildings have now burned down. He also confirms that no animals should have been in any of the buildings.

– Up to 300 meters in the surrounding area have been evacuated. The fire service now believes they have the fire under control, he tells NTB.

At the beginning it was not known whether there were people in the buildings, but at 6.27 the police stated that the three people registered at the address had been accounted for.

– There is a fire in all the buildings on the small farm, both in the residence, farmhouse, garage and barn, operations manager Ole Petter Hollingen in the Trøndelag police district told NTB last night.
