The two urban areas “Kamiq” and Karoq are “decorated”Škoda” logo, they are quite similar in their dimensions, as well as in their concept, however, they are not exactly the same. Kaspars Breidaks is a person who doesn’t need to be searched for by name, he is the host of the morning show “Tik Tik Tik” broadcast by SWH and an improvisational actor who has been on stage for more than 13 years, including at the biggest festivals in Europe. Along with that, he created his “Joy of Life School”, helping others to get to know communication and interaction better, as well as themselves – through improvisation.

Looking at the Škoda Kamiq and Karoq, it is clear that technically they have a lot in common. They can be equipped with the same engines, for example, a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with 150 hp, a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox, various driver assistance systems, etc. In fact, the main difference between these models is the cabin capacity.

Both test cars in our show are Elegance trim levels, both have DSG transmissions, so prices start at €25,900 for the Kamiq and €34,550 for the Karoq.

One of the main reasons why crossovers have gained so much popularity among buyers is their increased ground clearance. When you’re behind the wheel, you don’t have to worry about too high curbs in parking lots or snowy streets all the time. It is interesting that the smaller of these two cars has a higher ground clearance: “Kamiq” it is 188 mm, and “Karoq” – 172 mm. On the other hand, speaking of the drive system, “Kamiq” is available only with front-wheel drive, but if desired, “Karoq” can also be obtained with all-wheel drive modification.

Car lights are one of the most important elements of safe driving. In this sense, in the competition of these two models, the laurels of victory will have to be given to “Karoq”, because it can be equipped with “Matrix LED” lights, while “Kamiq” offers “Full-LED”, whose light capacity in the dark time of the day is also quite respectable.

In the interior of both cars, the order characteristic of German car manufacturers prevails – here everything is in its place, well thought out and unmixed. “Digital filling” is almost the same as other cars of this concern, for example, “Volkswagen” or SEAT.

The price difference between the two models is almost 10,000 euros, while looking at their dimensions, the difference in millimeters is only 149. “Kamiq” is perfectly suited for the city car, but “Karoq” will be more suitable for young families and longer road sections. It is interesting that at the first moment, when you step from one car to another, you may not even feel the change. Of course, the elbow of the person sitting next to you will be a little closer, but in general, both of these car models have a very similar atmosphere.
