At the restart of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich secured the autumn championship for the 26th time.
Cologne (SID) – Bayern Munich secured the autumn championship for the 26th time when the Bundesliga restarted. The record champion, who drew 1-1 at RB Leipzig on Friday, benefited from SC Freiburg’s 6-0 loss at VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday. With 35 points, FC Bayern can no longer be dislodged from first place on Tuesday and Wednesday on matchday 17 after the first half of the season.
Due to the football World Cup in Qatar, the autumn champion could only be determined in 2023 and not in autumn as usual. 40 of the 59 first-round finishers also won the title at the end of the season – a quota of around 67 percent.
