The Montluçon speed-ball club pays tribute to its former president, who died on January 11, 2021, by organizing the Michel Surleau challenge, at the Guineberts gymnasium, in Montluçon (Allier), Saturday January 21 and Sunday January 22.

The arrival of clubs prevented by weather conditions
In addition to Montluçonnais athletes, members of the clubs of Cramont (Somme) and Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne) take part in the event.

Super-solos and one-on-ones
About twenty participants, men and women, aged 11 to 65, compete in different events in an extremely friendly atmosphere that did not prevent the seriousness during the effort.
The super-solos where the sportsman must make the greatest number of strikes took place on Saturday January 21, before the group matches in one against one.
These hens continue on Sunday January 22, before a tribute to Michel Surleau in the presence of his widow and his son, at 11:30 a.m.

Michel Surleau very committed to the Sports for All federation
PE teacher, Michel Surleau had been regional technical adviser for Franche-Comté to the Sports for All Federation in 1982. He held the positions of national speed-ball technical adviser (1993-1994), deputy national technical director ( 1997-2001) then National Technical Advisor until his retirement in 2004.
He was president of the departmental committee Sport for all of Allier, from 2008 to 2016, before becoming president of the regional committee Sport for all Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes until his resignation in 2019
Upcoming competition. The licensees of the Speed-ball club Montluçon will participate, in March, in the departmental championships, in Montluçon. It is a qualifier for the French championships which will take place on the weekend of Pentecost, at the end of May. The place is not yet determined.
