The weather will be warmer than normal for the period in most regions this weekend, but starting from Monday, the temperatures will start to drop, said Iris Răducanu, meteorologist on duty at the National Meteorological Administration, reports Agerpres.

According to the specialist, in principle, this weekend, the weather remains much warmer than usual in most of the country, especially in the southern and eastern regions.
“There we will have temperatures of up to 15 – 16 degrees during the day of Saturday, January 21, in the Danube Meadow, in the extreme south of the country. In Bucharest, on Saturday there will be maximums of 12-13 degrees, and in the mountains the weather will be warmer than usual, with mixed precipitation at high altitudes in the form of snow. The wind will intensify in the mountains”, said Răducanu.
On Sunday, temperatures will be higher than usual.
“In the west of the country they will increase a little more and we are talking about thermal values of 9-10 degrees, 11 degrees in the north of Moldova, 12 degrees on the coast and 12-13 degrees in Bucharest. In the mountains, the weather will continue to be warmer, with snow only at high altitudes”, the quoted source pointed out.
What will the weather be like on Monday?
According to estimates, starting from Monday, January 23, temperatures start to drop in the extra-Carpathian regions. Thus, there will be maximums of 5-6 degrees in Bucharest and 6-7 degrees on the Coast.
Also, higher temperatures will be maintained in the west, northwest and center of the territory, around 12-13 degrees, at most 14 degrees in the western part.
“As precipitation, in general, it will be in the southwest of the territory, predominantly in the form of rain, and during the night there will be both sleet and snow. In the rest, only isolated, mixed precipitation will be reported”, said the ANM meteorologist.
What will the weather be like on Tuesday?
As for Tuesday, January 24, temperatures will approach the normal for the period in the south and east of the country, with maximum 2-3 degrees in Bucharest.
Maximum thermal values will be recorded between 0 degrees in the north of Moldova and 7 degrees in the west of the territory and local precipitation in the southwest, isolated in the rest, in the form of sleet rain, and snow at night.
