US Shows Evidence North Korea Supplying Weapons to Wagner Group

WASHINGTON – White House published a picture dated November 18 which it purportedly shows a train carriage Russia who traveled between Russia and North Korea (Jewelry).

White House national security spokesman John Kirby said North Korea was sending infantry rockets and missiles to Russia for use by Wagner and the imagery shows five Russian carriages traveling from Russia to North Korea.

“On November 19, North Korea loaded the carriages with containers, and the train returned to Russia,” he was quoted as saying ReutersSaturday (21/1/2023).

While the United States (US) assesses that the amount of material sent to Wagner will not change the dynamics of the battlefield in Ukraine, Kirby predicts Russia will continue to receive North Korean weapons systems.

“The transfer of arms from (North Korea) is in direct violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions,” Kirby said as quoted from CNN.

He added that the US had shared its intelligence with the expert panel of the North Korea sanctions committee at the UN Security Council.

On the same occasion, Kirby also said that the US Treasury would designate the Wagner Group as a Transnational Criminal Organization.

“In coordination with this designation, we will also be imposing additional sanctions next week against the (Group) Wagner and its network of supporters on multiple continents. This action recognizes the transcontinental threat posed by Wagner, including through an ongoing pattern of serious criminal activity,” Kirby said. .
