Confirming the speculations, the Crystal Dynamics actually decided to bring the end of support forward to Marvel’s Avengers.
After the update scheduled for March 31st, no other content will come to the game.
“After two and a half years and introducing twelve of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, after Update 2.8 on March 31st, we will no longer be adding new content or features to Marvel’s Avengers.
Official support will end on September 30th. However, even after that date, single and multiplayer gameplay will continue to be available.”
Says the official note.
“We know this is disappointing news as everyone in our community has this connection to these characters and their stories. We are so, so grateful that you came on this adventure with us. His excitement for Marvel’s Avengers – from the epic photos in Photo Mode, to his threads theorizing who our next heroes might be, to streams on Twitch – played a huge role in bringing the game to life.
We hope you keep playing and enjoying. We cannot thank you enough for your support and for being part of our super team.”

Marvel’s Avengers is available on multiple platforms, and kicks off on Avengers Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow and Thor will unveil a new, high-tech Avengers Tower in San Francisco, which will include its own aircraft carrier powered by a experimental power source.
The celebration turns into a nightmare when a devastating accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with superheroes living under outlaw status and the world in peril, the only hope is to bring them together to face this threat.
