Maximilian Fuchsluger competes for the BORG in the Lower Austrian philosophers’ competition. The Gymnasium Wieselburg sends two representatives to Krems at the end of January.

Maximilian Fuchsluger is inquisitive, incredibly well-read and loves to philosophize about this and that. Soon, the BORG student will be the only one in his school to take part in the nationwide Philosophy Olympiad for eighth-grade AHS students. The 17-year-old from Randegg is currently preparing for his Matura. “I can’t get enough of books,” he says. It doesn’t matter whether it’s non-fiction, world literature or economics novels: the straight-A student devours them all. As a result, he acquired an enormous amount of knowledge. A knowledge that will certainly benefit him in the national competition. “As a guide, you have four quotes to choose from and then you have four hours to write about it,” he says.

A challenge that the physically handicapped student for the Scheibbs district wants to master together with the two Wieselburg high school students Alois Melichar and Emma Rothenburger.
