Are you fed up with demons, vampires, zombies & Co.? You’re more into extremely hard horror in a realistic scenario? Then you can marvel at the shocker “Alive – Don’t give up!” on TV for the first time today.
“Alive – don’t give up!” is not for the faint-hearted. Because here a mercilessly brutal villain tortures apparently innocent people in his torture cellar equipped with all kinds of terrifying utensils without any recognizable motive. The bones crack and the blood flows in torrents.
If you don’t shy away from such martial film fare, you’ll get a real tip here. Because the strip directed by Rob Grant (“Harpoon”) was able to win a lot of awards and audience awards at various international genre festivals – including 2019 at the Weekend Of Fear in Nuremberg.
“Alive – don’t give up!” is broadcast today on January 18, 2023 at 11:55 p.m. on Tele 5. A repeat will be shown on the night of January 19th to 20th, 2023 at 2.10 a.m. (note: there are always minor time shifts at night).

That’s what “Alive – don’t give up!” is about. on Tele 5
A man (Thomas Cocquerel) and a woman (Camille Stopps) wake up from an extended period of unconsciousness. Both are badly injured and with no memory of their names or history in an abandoned sanatorium or hospital. They are tied to beds and have no idea what is happening around them. Suddenly a man (Angus Macfadyen) appears. The apparently sadistic guy reveals himself to be a surgeon and starts cutting around the couple with a scalpel and performing minor amputations. Soon after, he performs other extremely painful procedures on his defenseless “patients” without anesthesia.
Confronted by the two in excruciating agony, he claims to be their only chance for a cure. However, he does not mention which disease he wants to free her from through his cruel actions…
Folter-Horror à la „Saw“
Some of the content just listed and also various visual details of the trailer are reminiscent of the “Saw” series that started almost 20 years ago. Fans of the hugely popular horror franchise will also have long since discovered a direct connection between it and Alive.
Good news for all fans: Another “Saw” veteran could return for part 10 of the horror series alongside Tobin Bell!
The merciless torturer is Angus Macfadyen, who was seen in “Saw 3-6”. The Scottish mime embodied one of the victims of the “Saw” villain Jigsaw. Especially in the third and fourth part, Macfadyen’s character played an immensely important role for the entire series.
