Motorcycle carburetors can indeed experience problems, especially if they have been used for a long time. One problem that often occurs is the carburetor brebet.

This problem can occur due to certain causes, not just a matter of age.

The reason is that the skeptical needle usually starts to get oblak until it looks like it is going to fall off when we shake it. The skeptical needle itself functions to determine the discharge of fuel entering the combustion chamber.

If he has a problem, then the fuel that enters is also not optimal so that it makes the engine crash.

If you experience this problem, of course, many people are looking for ways to adjust the brebet carburetor. The goal, of course, is that the problem can be resolved more quickly. So that motorbike owners can use motorbikes more comfortably as usual.

Prepare Tools

First you have to prepare a tool first, namely a screwdriver to turn the screw. The carburetor has two screws that function to adjust the air and adjust the gas. Well, the screwdriver we need is a min screwdriver (-) to turn the screw.

Turn on the Machine

After getting the tool, how to set the next brebet carburetor, you have to start the engine first. The goal is that you can get the right settings.

Adjust Gas Screw

When the engine is running and the gas lever feels tight, you can adjust the gas screw. The trick is to turn the gas screw to the right or clockwise. So that the results are maximized, make sure to rotate it one to two rounds only.

Turning the gas screw aims to make the screw get deeper into the carburetor and press the gas valve. So that makes it more open and the higher engine RPM.

Adjust the Air Adjustment Screw

Next, adjust the air adjusting screw which functions to close the idle channel. Turn the screw to the right when the RPM rises above 1500 RPM. This aims to reduce the air that will enter the engine.

Unscrew the Wind

How to set the brebet carburetor then open the wind screw while the engine is still running. If the engine dies before your drain closes then stop the wind screw turning then let the engine reach low RPM. Then turn the screw in the open direction so that the RPM can go up after the air is closed.

Lower Gas Setting

The final step is to lower the gas setting to produce the ideal idle. Rotate the gas screw to the left until it reaches the idle RPM you want.

You can also turn the screw up to 900-1000 RPM which is the ideal RPM of the motor.

After the adjustment is complete, you can try the motorbike engine by turning it off first. Then turn on the motor using the electric starter or kick starter button. If the setting is correct then the motor will start immediately.
