Asobo Studio has released a new patch for adventure game A Plague Tale: Requiem. The main feature of the update is ray tracing for shadows and ambient occlusion – now it can be enabled in the settings. But you don’t need to, because without this option the game looks even better.
DSOGaming has shared some comparison screenshots with ray tracing enabled and disabled. The frames show that the option makes the picture more faded and flat, which sags the atmosphere.

All this is just a reminder that the studio has done some fantastic handwork on the locations.
