The Sultanate of Brunei once again held a royal wedding. This time the 8th daughter of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Princess Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah was married to a man who was her own cousin.
Princess Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah is married to her idol Prince Young Bahar Ibni Jefri Bolkiah. The second wedding was held in luxury for nine consecutive days from 8 January 2023 to 16 January 2023 at the Nurul Iman Palace.
As quoted from the Borneo Bulletin, Princess Azemah and Prince Muda Bahar’s marriage contract was held on January 12, 2023. The wedding reception for the two was held on January 15 and 16, 2023. The reception invited a number of important international guests.
Princess Azemah’s wedding chain begins with a royal ceremony on January 8, 2023. And ends with a royal dining or wedding reception on January 16, 2023.

Princess Azemah’s wedding moment was uploaded by her younger brother, Prince Abdul Mateen. On January 12, 2023, the prince shared a photo of his older brother having a powder ceremony.
The Powdered Ceremony is a series of wedding ceremonies where the bride and groom receive powdered powder on their hands from family, relatives to scholars. In the photo uploaded by Pangeran Abdul Mateen, the son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah is seen pouring powder into his sister’s hands.

Princess Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah who has just undergone a series of royal weddings for nine days is the 8th child of the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Hassanal Bolkiah. His mother Mariam Abdul Aziz is his father’s second wife. The mother is already divorced from Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. The divorce happened in 2003.
