In the popular vote “Elvi’s song of the year”, ten compositions by Latvian musicians composed in the past year are competing for the honor of the listeners’ favorite song, and the applicants include both popular artists and new names in Latvian music, which makes the competition particularly interesting.
This year, Shipsea and Aminata are fighting for the honor of the nation’s most loved music with the song “Tavi voalni”; Boo and Ed words “Where is my tribe?”; Other Boys “Excess Stucco”; Don “Your Touch”; Greta “Pāries”; Sudden Lights “Lanterns”; Tautumeitas and Renars Kaupers “Muoseņa”; “At One Fire” by The Sound Poets; Zebrene and Sudden Lights “The World is Shaking”; ZEĞĪS “Yet”.
Listeners can vote for their favorite until February 18 on the tv3.lv portal, and you can do it once a day by registering to vote with your Facebook account. On the other hand, during the concert on February 18, telephone voting will continue, within the framework of which the funds obtained in cooperation with the ziedot.lv foundation will be directed to the purchase of electric generators, which are so necessary for the Ukrainian people at the moment.
“Elvi is the national food retail brand, whose mission for more than 20 years has been to be the people of Latvia in various areas of life and to support things with added value. It is for this reason that for the second year we are also together with Latvian musicians and the people of Latvia, providing a platform so that the most popular new compositions can meet the love of the people and win the votes of the people in the most important annual award for domestic music recordings “Golden Microphone”. In fact, all the musicians nominated for the “Elvi song of the year” are winners, because they all already have the most important thing – the love of the audience,” says Laila Vārtukapteine, commercial director of Elvi.
This year, the “Zelta mikrofons’23” ceremony will take place on February 18 at the Ķīpsala exhibition center. The following will perform at the ceremony concert: Don, “Citi Zēni”, “Astro’n’out”, “Iron Wolf”, “DAGAMBA”, Aija Andrejeva, Olga Rajecka, “Tautumeitas”, roland če, Finķis, Ozol and others.
