For the whole world, Prince William is the heir to the British throne. The public treats the future monarch with all respect. Meanwhile, the same cannot be said about the relatives of the eldest son of Charles III.
At home, the prince was awarded a very offensive nickname, which for a long time outsiders did not even know. However, William himself told the general public about his unenviable fate. As it turned out, the nickname was given to the prince by his now deceased mother, Princess Diana. It’s hard to believe, but the queen of human hearts called her firstborn nothing more than a wombat.
“The first time it happened was when I was two years old. We went on a trip to Australia. Mom saw this local animal there and decided to call me that. I don’t think that I look like a wombat, although maybe there are some similarities.” — said William in an interview.
