Palakkunn: On the fourth day of the Metro Cup at the Palakkunn Dunes Stadium yesterday, Falcon Kalanadu and Brothers Kanhangad saw a thrilling encounter. In the very first minute of the game, Brothers hit Kanjangad and No. 19 player Nufile took a 1-0 lead for Kalanadu.
The fans of Kalanadu dressed in blue turbans were rocking the packed gallery with the bands playing. Kalanad took a 2-0 lead in the 39th minute of the second half as both the teams battled each other and another shot from Nufile came through.
Kalanadu added a goal to the scoreboard in the 45th minute through No. 9 Stephen’s Atyujjula performance shot to make it 3-0. Again, Stephen’s magic made it 4-0 for Kalanadu in the 52nd minute. Brothers Kanhangadi’s big advances ended in the defense of Kalanadu’s goalkeeper Shahbaz.
At the end of the game, Falcon Kalanad defeated by four uncontested goals and entered the quarter. Kalanadu’s Nufail was selected as the man of the match.
