Gibran about Cak Nun Calling Jokowi Pharaoh: Wis Apologizes Yowis

Jakarta, CNNIndonesia

wali Kota Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka responding casually to cultural commentary Emha Ainun Najib or as she is usually called Cak Nun who called President Joko Widodo a Pharaoh.

The eldest son of President Jokowi admits that he has never paid attention to the sarcastic comments circulating on social media. He conveyed this to the media crew at the Solo City Hall, Wednesday (18/1).

“Ketoke wis apologizes, yowis to. (It seems that he has apologized, already),” said Gibran when asked about Cak Nun calling Jokowi a Pharaoh.

Gibran ensured that his family was never offended by these attacks. So far, President Jokowi’s family has always forgiven all those who make fun of him.

“(Family) not (offended). Just relax. Everyone forgiven, little by little report (no need to report a little bit) yes. I feel like I have to do it (It’s like there’s no work),” he said.

Gibran himself admits that he has never discussed netizen comments with his father. According to him, there are more important things to discuss with President Jokowi.

“Never. Talk about something more important (more important chat), for example 2024,” he said.

A video clip of Cak Nun’s lecture went viral on social media. In the video, Cak Nun refers to Jokowi as Pharaoh and the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan as Haman. Cak Nun also touched on the 2024 election.

“The election results reflect the level of maturity and not the people. That’s not true. Even the 2024 election algorithm. Right, it’s impossible to win, wis sa ono sing win saiki,” said Cak Nun in the clip of the video.

“Because Indonesia was controlled by a Pharaoh whose name was Jokowi, by Qorun whose name was Anthony Salim and 10 dragons. Then Haman whose name was Luhut,” he added.

“Our country was completely controlled by Pharaoh, Haman and Qorun. That’s the whole system, all the instruments, all the political tools they all have. From the money, the system, to the authority, to whatever,” Cak Nun said in the video clip.

The video finally reaped various reactions from Ali Mochtar Ngabalin, Guntur Romli, Luhut’s spokesperson, and of course netizens.

After the video went viral, Cak Nun apologized for ‘saying what shouldn’t be said’.

Cak Nun conveyed his apology through a video entitled ‘Mbah Nun Kesambet’ which was uploaded on the CakNun.com YouTube channel, Tuesday (17/1) evening. CNNIndonesia.com has received permission to quote the contents of the video.

“I apologize to all those who were splashed out, became uncomfortable or suffered, or became whatever my words were,” said Cak Nun.
