Hong Kong: Gambling kingpin Alvin Chow of Macau, where gambling centers are legal, has been jailed for 18 years. Chow, who is also the founder of Suncity Group, was sentenced to prison in a case of illegal gambling worth 10,500 crores. Chow’s company catered to super-rich gamblers.
It was found that the criminal gang had created illegal gambling and caused a tax loss of 826 million Hong Kong dollars. Macau is controlled by China.
