SEOUL, Jan. 18 (Yonhap) — K-pop girl group aespa will perform at “The Governors Ball Music Festival 2023”, an important music festival, held annually outdoors, in New York, as reported on Wednesday by his representation agency, SM Entertainment.
The band will become the first K-pop artist to hold a performance at the festival, according to the agency. Taking place June 9-11 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, this year’s event will feature performances from a wide range of genres including electronic music, indie, rock, rap and hiphop, while headlining Lizzo, ODESZA and Kendrick Lamar.
The South Korean quartet will perform on the main stage on the second day of the festival.
The aespa band debuted in April at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the largest outdoor music festival in the United States. Subsequently, she performed in the 2022 “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series, a summer concert, hosted annually by the famous ABC morning TV show.
