Early Prevention of DHF, Primary School Education Sukamulya Health Center

REGENCY. TANGERANG – In the context of early prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), the Sukamulya Health Center held education on Preventing DHF at Elementary Schools (SD).

This activity is carried out continuously to prevent as early as possible diseases caused by the bite of the Aedes Aegpti mosquito. This type of mosquito is known to carry Dengue Virus which causes DHF.

The head of the Sukamulya Health Center, Eko Hartati, said that Sukamulya Health Center staff had conducted educational activities in 6 elementary schools, namely Kaliasin 1 SDN, Benda 2 SDN, Bunar 1 SDN, Bunar 2 SDN, Sukamulya 1 SDN, and Bina Insani SDIT.

“This activity is one of the ways to prevent the early breeding of mosquitoes that spread the virus,” said drg Eko on Tuesday (17/01/2023).

He revealed, this education was carried out by introducing elementary school students in grades 5 and 6 using the mosquito animation video method. “This is to make it easier for students to recognize and remember,” he added.

It is hoped that with this activity students can find out the dangers of mosquitoes that cause DHF. So that these students will be able to take precautions to avoid dengue.

“It is hoped that the students participating in this education can invite their friends, siblings and parents to eradicate mosquito nests and nests in the school and home environment,” he said.
