The sports court of the DFB has sentenced FC Augsburg to a hefty fine after the use of pyrotechnics by its fans.
The DFB sports court has imposed fines totaling 73,000 euros on FC Augsburg in single-judge proceedings. Before the Bundesliga game against FC Bayern Munich in October 2022, several rockets, Bengal fire and so-called flashers were ignited in the Augsburg fan block. A few days later, FCA supporters also ignited so-called Bengalos away from VfB Stuttgart.
The Augsburgers have now been sentenced to a significant penalty for the two banned pyro shows. Up to 24,300 euros of the fine may be used for safety-related or violence-prevention measures in the course of the current season.
