The 15 final songs of the Musical Bank have been clarified / Day

Voting in the second round until January 24 on the website muzikalabanka.lv everyone has the opportunity to add additional votes once a day. “I want to emphasize that even getting into the 25 final songs was an achievement, so I congratulate all the musicians and wish them continued success. At the moment, the 15 songs that continue to participate in the final have crystallized. Musical banks at the final show, a magnificent meeting of musicians and listeners is expected again, when we will hear and see the best songs of the year and their performers, as well as premieres and guests. I can reveal that not only the finalists will take the stage, but also excellent guests – bands Iron wolf and Triana Park, as well as Marija Naumova, who will sing her anniversary year and other musicians. The audience is also waiting for, in my opinion, a very powerful opening performance together with the symphony orchestra, choir and soloists,” says Kaspars Mauriņš, director of Latvian Radio 2.

Mauriņš also reveals that Musical Banks 2022 The final show this year has been entrusted to the talented actor of the Latvian National Theater Igor Šelegovskis, who is also known in music circles as the rapper Indigo.

Musical Banks 2022 the final songs are also evaluated by an independent and professional jury, which includes opera singer Sonora Vaice, pianist Andrejs Osokins, conductor Jurģis Cābulis, singer and vocal teacher Beāte Zviedre, groups Adventures of a waterman musician Māris Žigats, musician and composer Aigars Voitiškis, composer and groups Latvian Voices singer Laura Jēkabsone, composer and producer Edgars Vilcāns, singing actor of the Latvian National Theater Raimonds Celms, as well as cultural editor and music reviewer Kaspars Zaviļeiskis.

You can vote for your favorite composition once a day www.muzikalabanka.lv. The evaluation of listeners and experts in the first two rounds of voting is 50% : 50%. On the other hand, in the third round taking place during the live broadcast of the final show, 50% of the evaluation will be influenced by the telephone voting of the viewers and listeners, while the remaining half will be formed from the results of the 2nd round.

Also this year, everyone Musical banks finalists will receive specially designed commemorative awards. This year, as last year, the artist of the award is Armands Jēkabsons, who created it according to the concept of the final show.

Musical bank is a survey organized by Latvian Radio 2, in which listeners determine the most valuable and most loved domestic songs every year. On the air of Latvian Radio 2 Musical bank sounds three times a week – on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 14.05 and on Saturdays from 12.00 Throughout the year, listeners vote on the website www.muzikalabanka.lv determines the most valuable pop and rock songs of the week, month and year.
