Tangerang Regency, Koranpelita.co – Health workers from the Sukamulya Community Health Center in Tangerang Regency are increasingly visiting the Elementary School (SD) environment in the context of early prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) caused by the bite of the Aedes Aegpti mosquito.
The Head of the Sukamulya Health Center, drg Eko Hartati MARS said, Sukamulya Health Center staff had carried out educational activities in 6 elementary schools, namely Kaliasin 1 SDN, Benda 2 SDN, Bunar 1 SDN, Bunar 2 SDN, Sukamulya 1 SDN, and Bina Insani SDIT.
“This activity is one of the ways to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes that spread the virus that causes dengue fever,” said drg Eko, Tuesday (17/1/2023).
drg Eko Hartati said, education was carried out by introducing elementary school students in grades 5 and 6 using the mosquito animation video method to make it easier for students to recognize and remember.
It is hoped that with this activity at least the students can know the dangers of mosquitoes that cause DHF. So that these students will be able to take precautions to avoid dengue.
“It is hoped that the students participating in this education can invite their friends, siblings and parents to maintain the cleanliness of the school and home environment so that they are free from mosquito nests,” he said. (sam).
