Budiman Sudjatmiko PDIP Meets Jokowi at the Palace

PDIP politician Budiman Sudjatmiko meet the President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta today, Tuesday (17/1).

He came wearing a batik shirt and black trousers.

“Yes, that’s right. I just finished this,” said Budiman when confirmed CNNIndonesia.comTuesday (17/1).

Budiman admitted that he talked about many things with President Jokowi. One of them is about the village. The meeting discussed the term of office of the village head which was extended from 6 to 9 years.

Apart from that, Budiman also proposed that the state budget for villages be broken down more specifically for human resources (HR). This is because so far village funds have been allocated more often for infrastructure.

“So that’s it. If not by revising the Village Law, it could also be through a government regulation. President Jokowi agrees to that,” said Budiman.

Budiman is a PDIP politician who currently serves as PTPN V commissioner. He is also known as Indonesia Innovator 4.0.

Prior to that, Budiman was a DPR member from the PDIP faction. He once initiated a draft law on villages. Now the draft has become Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages.

His arrival at the Palace to meet President Jokowi coincided with the issue of a cabinet reshuffle or reshuffle. However, so far the Minister of State Secretariat Pratikno has not disclosed when President Jokowi will reshuffle the cabinet.
