The gameplay of the new cross-platform massive online role-playing game from the Chinese publisher Tencet has hit the net after a short test. Users, having read the materials, were struck by the similarity of the project with World of Warcraft.
In the period from January 12 to 14, a closed beta testing of the new massive online role-playing game TarisLand from Tencent took place. Before testing began, the company released the first gameplay trailer. Already after watching the trailer, many players noticed the similarity of the new project with World of Warcraft. Recordings from the players who took part in the test session confirmed the guesses.
TarisLand is a full-fledged massive online role-playing game, without auto-combat, with the ability to create squads and join them, with characters of various classes: warrior, mage, paladin, healer, bard, assassin, etc. Separation into Alliance and Horde, as in WoW, missing in this game. In addition to clearing the dungeons, players will have a full-fledged story campaign, some cut-scenes with dialogues in Chinese were recorded.
World of Warcraft is very popular in China, but Blizzard failed to agree on the continuation of cooperation with the Chinese representative office of NetEase and the contract will soon expire. Perhaps Tencent is planning to fill the vacant niche, and at the same time lure dissatisfied WoW players into their new project.
