The fighter from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Stepan Barna revealed what is happening in the eastern city of Soledar, UNIAN reported.
“There is a positional war going on in the city. That is, both we and the enemy have strengthened our positions, and no one is advancing,” said the soldier.
“We haven’t lost Soledar,” he added.
In the words of Barna: I think that the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will strengthen our potential and we will drive out the Russian occupiers.
According to the fighter, the forces of the aggressors also use unconventional weapons. “Besides artillery shells and rockets, the enemy is also throwing civilian bombs with white phosphorus at us,” he also pointed out.
When burning, white phosphorus develops a temperature of up to 1300 degrees Celsius. It emits poisonous smoke and causes skin irritation. White phosphorus dissolves in human body fluids and is highly toxic.
The lethal dose ranges from 0.05 to 0.15 grams.
Russia has signed a UN document pledging not to use white phosphorus against civilian targets.
