Vietnamese coach Park Hang Seo managed to rage at the Thai captain, Theerathon Bunmathanwho did a similar goal celebration Lionel Messi.
Theerathon became the hero of Thailand’s victory after scoring the only goal that brought Thailand to a 1-0 win in the second leg of the 2022 AFF Cup final at Thammasat Stadium, Monday (16/1).
After scoring a goal, Theerathon made a provocative celebration. He put his hands on his ears while facing Vietnam coach Park Hang Seo.
The Theerathon’s goal celebration is similar to what Messi did to Dutch coach Louis van Gaal when the two teams clashed in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.
The Theerathon’s action clearly angered Park Hang Seo. The famous temperamental South Korean trainer immediately stood up and pointed at Theerathon.
It is not clear what Park Hang Seo said to the Thai captain. To be sure, the incident did not last long and player number three escaped the referee’s punishment.
Previously, Theerathon scored a beautiful goal in the 24th minute. Receiving Adisak Kraison’s pass, Theerathon fired a right-footed shot that lodged in the right corner of the opponent’s goal.
That was the only goal that occurred in the Thailand vs Vietnam match. This result made Thailand win the 2022 AFF Cup with an aggregate of 3-2 after previously drawing 2-2 in the first match.
