Evacuation of visitors to a metropolitan mall this evening. At 7:15 p.m., a male voice called 112 to report an explosive device in a shopping center on Cherni Vrah Blvd., the Ministry of the Interior confirmed.
Visitors are ushered out immediately. Hundreds of customers of the shopping complex were unable to collect their cars from the car parks and waited outside for the signal to be checked. This made the movement even more difficult because of the multitude of people in front.
At the moment, nothing worrisome has been discovered, the Ministry of the Interior reports.
For about an hour, forensic experts detained two men. The phone from which the signal was sent was located in the village of Pleven. The two men confessed to the act. With a police order, they will remain in custody for a period of up to 24 hours, the Ministry of the Interior reports. A mobile device and SIM card were seized. Work on the case continues. They are about to be charged.
The men lived together in the village of Opanec, NOVA learned. One is about 55 years old and the other is 42 years old. The two explained to the police that they decided to make their evening interesting. At first they stopped at the Pleven mall, but they decided that there were fewer people there and there wouldn’t be such a noise. That’s why they headed to a metropolitan shopping center.
