The Democratic Party talks about figures Vice President Anies Baswedan who is capable of breaking into the presidential and cawapres order that appears to the public. PKS spokesperson M Kholid said that the figure of vice president Anies needs to be discussed together and has a high capacity to win.
“We at PKS view that it is important to jointly build togetherness in deciding strategic matters in the future Coalition for Change. Regarding the vice presidential candidate himself, we view that PKS Nasdem and Democrats must sit together, discuss it openly, humbly, rational and objective,” Kholid told journalists, Monday (16/1/2023).
Kholid said that the vice presidential candidate for Anies Baswedan must have the same vision. It also considers a person who has a high winning capacity.
“The vision is to choose what is best for the Indonesian nation in the future. If the vision is national politics, state politics, then each party in the coalition for change will find the best common ground,” said Kholid.
“PKS itself views that the main requirement is to have a high capacity to win elections. We can test this together objectively,” he continued.
The second consideration relates to the performance of leadership in government. Finally, according to Kholid, Anies’ vice presidential candidate must be someone who can strengthen the foundations of the Coalition for Change.
“And what is also very important is the chemistry or compatibility or acceptance of the presidential candidate. This is where we must mix together with a clear mind in order to get the best format,” he said.
