Jimin of BTS Becomes Dior Global Ambassador – WWD JAPAN

Dior, owned by LVMH MOET HENNESSY LOUIS VUITTON (LVMH), announced on January 16 that Jimin of BTS has been appointed as its global ambassador. Kim Jones, the brand’s artistic director for men’s, provided the outfits for BTS’s “LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF” world tour in 2019. In April 2021, BTS became an ambassador for “LOUIS VUITTON”, which is also owned by LVMH, but the contract has been terminated.

BTS announced in June 2022 that they will focus on solo activities for the time being, as members will take enlistment procedures for military service. Jimin is also participating as a featuring artist in BIGBANG’s SOL (TaeYang in Korea)’s new single “VIBE”.

This is not the first time Dior has appointed a K-pop idol as an ambassador. EXO’s Sehun and ASTRO’s Eunwoo Cha are ambassadors for men’s wear, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is appointed as ambassadors for women’s wear.
