Continuing with the objective of closing vaccination gaps throughout the country and bringing vaccines closer to the population, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) and Line 1 of the Lima Metro join forces through the campaign “I vaccinate on Line 1 ” which begins today, Monday, January 16.
The campaign will take place in six stations on Line 1: Los Jardines, San Carlos, Gamarra and Angamos, where the vaccination brigades will be from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, at the Villa María del Triunfo and Villa El Salvador stations, the vaccinators will be there from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In this way, users of this means of transport will be able to access vaccines against covid-19 and the National Vaccination Scheme.
The Minsa indicated that these are stations with a high influx of passengers, so progress is expected to be made in the application of vaccination and thus protect the population from various diseases.
Progress of vaccination against covid-19
The Minsa pointed out that, to date, more than 86 million doses against covid-19 have been administered, of which 93.96% correspond to the first dose, 90.24% to the second dose and 73.96% to the third dose.
In relation to pediatric vaccination, more than 6 million doses have been applied to girls and boys between 5 and 11 years of age, of which 74.18% correspond to the first dose and 61.30% to the second dose and 15.82% to the third dose.

Regarding the vaccination of girls and boys from 6 months to 4 years, more than 318,000 doses have been administered, of which 10.30% correspond to the first dose and 2.97% to the second dose.
In addition, it should be remembered that the Minsa began the application of the bivalent vaccine on January 1, which works as a booster vaccine against covid-19 and protects against the original coronavirus and against the lineages known up to now.
Health personnel began to be vaccinated and later the groups most vulnerable to covid-19, such as the elderly, will also be vaccinated.
National Vaccination Scheme
In the case of the National Vaccination Scheme, the Minsa details the main vaccines that protect us from more than 27 diseases: Influenza, applied from 6 months, protects against the influenza virus. Hepatitis B and BCG, to protect newborns against meningeal tuberculosis.
Rotavirus, administered from 2 months to protect against severe diarrhea. Pentavalent, it is applied from 2 months and protects against diphtheria, tetanus, hepatitis B, whooping cough and Haemophilus type B.
Likewise, we have the anti-polio that must be applied at 2, 4, 6, 18 months and 4 years to avoid poliomyelitis. SPR, is applied from the year, and protects against 3 diseases measles, rubella and mumps.
HPV for girls and boys in the fifth grade of primary school, whose application will be at the beginning of the school year, which will prevent cervical and vaginal cancer in girls and, in the case of boys, prevent penile and anal cancer.
