The federal government’s planned new home ownership program for families is scheduled to start in June. “We are working on a new property promotion for families with an income of up to 60,000 euros per year plus 10,000 euros per child,” said Federal Building Minister Klara Geywitz (SPD) of the world on Sunday. The corresponding KfW program with low-interest loans should be available from June 1st. 350 million euros a year are available for this. With an interest rate reduction, the leverage is better than with annual direct payments after the purchase, said Geywitz. “So we achieve a higher funding effect per euro invested than with child support.” The Baukindergeld introduced in 2018 expired in 2021.
