After a long period of speculation, the trønder became officially ready for the Italian giants on January 1. Solbakken signed for the club for free after his contract with Glimt expired.

When José Mourinho’s men took on Fiorentina on Sunday night, he was on the bench for the first time in a series.

Roma played eleven against ten after a sending off and already led the match 2–0 when Solbakken came on for his debut. Solbakken replaced two-goal scorer Paulo Dybala when the stadium clock showed 88 minutes played.

Solbakken, who won the Eliteserien twice with Bodø/Glimt, impressed greatly when the yellow and black shocked Roma and won 6–1 at Aspmyra in the spring of 2021. Roma’s new number 18 scored 20 goals during his three seasons in the Glimt kit.

TWO GOAL SCORERS: Paulo Dybala celebrates the 2-0 score with teammate Tammy Abraham.

Roma are seventh in the table in the Italian top division. You can watch all Roma’s league matches at VG+ Sport.
