Abidzar Al-Ghifari bears a big responsibility in the hope that he can replace his father’s position when he grows up. Judged not meeting expectations, many netizens blasphemed him.
Umi Pipik as the mother defended her eldest son.
“People think that Ustaz’s father is like that, his mother is also a preacher, how come his child is like this. Uje’s mother used to be like that. But thank God we have a child like Uje’s mother who has fortified her child with religion from a young age,” said Umi Pipik when met at Kuningan area, South Jakarta.
According to him, the late Uje did not force his son to be like him. Most importantly, later his children must be much better than him.
“Even though we can’t just judge people from the outside and I and the deceased have never forced children to be like me, but they have to be better than us,” said Umi Pipik.
He then revealed Uje’s message before he died for his children.
“The deceased always reminded Abi at that time, ‘You want to be a singer, to be a pious singer, you want to be a doctor, to be a pious doctor, you want to be an actor, to be a pious actor. Make your profession a good thing for you’. That’s what I remember,” said Umi Pipik.
Umi Pipik freed her children to be whatever they wanted, provided that all of them did not leave their worship.
“So, leave him with his teenage years. Most importantly, he still remembers everything, the important thing is he still prays. I know my child best,” he concluded.
