Details about the Grand Theft Auto 6 launch trailer may have leaked online from a source who had previously accurately detailed other information related to the game as well.
According to one of the alleged leaks, the Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement trailer will feature the protagonist, a woman named Lucia, in prison at the beginning of the trailer, and the leak reveals many other details. There is no word on when this Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer will arrive, but it stands to reason that if someone supposedly has specific information about it, it could happen relatively soon. Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has an earnings report on February 6th, so it wouldn’t be surprising if it came before then.
Of course, all this is happening on the topic of the rather surprising timing of Grand Theft Auto 6. Rockstar is the creator of GTA Online, Red Dead Online, etc. slowing down its development, it regrouped its resources to the development of GTA 6. This, as well as the development of the game, was confirmed last year. However, not long after, early gameplay footage of Grand Theft Auto 6 was leaked online, confirming some details about the game. Perhaps the biggest was the confirmed return to Vice City, as well as the name of one of the female protagonists: Lucia.
Prior to the leak, a YouTuber named SanInPlay said that the main character’s name is Lucia and that she is of Latin descent, which is perfectly in line with what was later leaked. This lends some credence to SanInPlay’s recent claims regarding the GTA 6 announcement trailer, first reported by Dexerto. We don’t know much about the details yet, but SanInPlay claims that players will get a glimpse of the GTA 6 environment, with a plane passing overhead, a lizard crossing a street (SanInPlay previously claimed that there are lizards all over the city) , dogs playing and a dog lounging on an ocean beach. That description definitely sounds like Vice City.

Perhaps the most interesting detail, however, is that in the trailer, GTA 6 protagonist Lucia is said to be training in the prison, suggesting that the game potentially begins there. It’s hard to say for sure, and of course all this should be treated with reservations until either Rockstar Games or Take-Two shows/confirms it. There’s certainly reason to believe SanInPlay, but there’s also plenty of reason to be skeptical of such a claim.
