I have an iPhone, an iPad, and 1 Macbook and 1 Mac Mini
For file sharing, I don’t use iCloud Drive but pCloud.
I have a NAS at home running Debian 11 with some TO storage on it.
I also have my Mac Mini in 512Go to which I can put external disks if necessary.
Currently I have an iCloud subscriber only for my iPhone, my Macs are under TimeMachine via my NAS, my iPad is not backed up.
I use 120GB under iCloud so I have a 200GB subscription.
Since I’ve listed Hardware for everything I’d like to do without this iCloud… Finally, its subscription… at 2.99 to at least go down to 0.99€ But I don’t know no how to do…
I am well aware that Note, Calendar, Message will have to stay on iCloud…
But for the Photo and Backup part I think we can do better.
For the Backup part I thought of Wifi Sync via the Mac Mini which is always on.
On this side no problem.
For the Photo Part, the big advantage of iCloud is that the photos are in the cloud and downloaded on demand, which limits the space used on the iPhone…
Do you have any solutions ?
