André says in the message that he only hopes to write a new single at first, but is so inspired that he will soon release an entire album. “What happens every time in the studio cannot be described in words,” he shares with his followers.
Because the singer constantly compares himself to his father earlier in his career, he neglects the idea of what he really wants to make in terms of music. It’s different on his new album. ‘It’s a risk, but it feels damn good and free,’ says André.
The folk singer already has five songs that he and his team fully support and has approval to make an entire album. André: ‘Every studio session is a victory boys. And thank you for letting me be myself and making these absurd songs come out!’
André also shares a photo from the studio at the end of December in which he writes that ‘the fire is burning again’. And that also means that he will perform again. For example, he will make his comeback in the second week of March at the Holland Zingt Hazes concert series. André stopped performing due to a burnout. In the fall of 2022, he acknowledged in a message on Instagram that he had been ‘in the darkest period of my life’. ‘I have now overcome many addictions, but I will never lose the addiction to be able to sing for my fans.’
