Rockefeller Center Christmas tree goes down

One last chance to enjoy one of the best attractions of the Christmas season in the city, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.

If you haven’t seen the tree fully lit yet, or if you might want to take another look at it, today is your last day to do so.

The tree will be turned off at 10 pm.

After lights out, they will begin removing it from Rockefeller Plaza.

This tree is a 90-year-old Norway spruce that came from Queensbury, upstate.

It is covered in more than 50,000 energy-efficient multicolor LED lights and crowned with a £900 Swarovski star.
