Line 14, the backbone of the Grand Paris Express

The extension of line 14 to the north and south will link Orly Airport to Saint-Denis Pleyel in 40 minutes.

The first wide-gauge automatic metro line in 1998, line 14 is about to change in size to become the main north-south connection of the Paris metro, and the backbone of the Grand Paris Express.

Crossing the French capital to connect, in 2024, Saint-Denis Pleyel to Orly Airport, the 15 kilometers of additional line will make it possible to serve more than ten cities, an airport, hospital centers of excellence and major areas of economic activity in the Ile-de-France region. 27 km long in total, line 14 will be able to transport nearly one million passengers per day, twice as much as currently.

Line 14 will be the only metro line connecting with lines 15, 16, 17 and 18 of the Grand Paris Express.
